Vincent J. Truglia has nearly 40 years experience as a Wall Street economist. At present, he is an active member of the Board of Directors of ACRA (Analytical Credit Rating Agency) Russia’s newest CRA. He also writes for Clear and Candid (www.clearandcandid.com), a blog dedicated to economic and political analysis. He is a “permanent guest” on Reuters Global Markets Forum. He has worked with the Bertelsmann Foundation on their International Non-Profit Credit Rating Agency (INCRA) project. Before that, he was a Partner and Managing Director of Global Economic Research at Granite Springs Asset Management, LLC. Vincent also worked at Moody’s Investors Service for 15 years in the Sovereign Risk Unit, which he headed for a number of years. Prior to that he worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. For 13 years, Mr. Truglia was a Vice President and International Economist at the Bank of New York/Irving Trust. In 1977, he started the Country Risk Department at NCNB (the parent bank of Bank of America). He received an MA and ABD in International Economics from McGill University in Montreal. He received a BSFS from the School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University. He also did graduate research at Trinity College, Dublin, as well as studying at the Università per Stranieri in Perugia, Italy.
